[ nahri trudges wetly into the warehouse, leaving a drippy trail as she does so. the water has completely deflated her hair and causes her tshirt dress to stick to her scrawny little frame.
this is so valid. shenhe comes into the warehouse holding a box of seven chicken nuggets. she's a little crispy, her hair is a fucking mess, and also she's bleeding from a vague gunshot wound in the side, which she hasn't really noticed. when she sees nahri, she frowns... puts her nuggies down.
and then goes over and scoops nahri up off the floor to sit her on one of their terrible couches instead.]
[ she groans and fusses a lil, but doesn't actually resist being scooped up. she's also like, underweight so she probably weighs about the same as a sack of potatoes.
she wants to lean into being grumpy until she sees hoLY SHIT SHENHE-- ] You're bleeding!
[ this comes out kind of funny since she's tired but now abruptly kicked into worry mode. ]
[ she gives shenhe a Look, almost like she's going to protest. this isn't allowed? this isn't allowed!! you can't tell her what to do like that. illegal.
but there isn't any fire or vitriol or much of anything behind that look, except maybe exhaustion. ] Fine.
[ and before shenhe can add any more conditions (or force her to lay down), nahri puts her hand directly onto the bullet wound - since evidently, she is not squeamish - and pumps it full of ~healing aura~ ]

she peels herself off the couch and squirrels through her meager belongings. she has her silk pants that she arrived with, and a shirt from last week's mini event. she really doesn't want to put on her whole Nice Outfit:tm: again. which means she's ditching the silk pants too. guess she's using a towel as a skirt; it's less shyness and more having modesty ingrained in her. so she leaves to change into her shirt, and comes back with her bundle of wet clothes, while also using like half the towels to ~protect her modesty. laugh at her waddling over to leave her clothes out to dry, it's fine.
[shenhe is also a brat and is therefore immune to brat behavior.
she also doesn't laugh, but she does look faintly amused at nahri putting her things out to dry. she's going to change too, though she's a little less modest, just stripping out of her crispy hawaiian shirt and into her soft black pants and shirt she bought earlier this week. when nahri comes back out, shenhe's undone her very long hair and is sitting on the backless couch, coming it out with a small white-jade comb.
... she pauses in that, though, gently putting the comb down on the couch before wandering over to nahri's clothes. carefully, she summons a small flame, aiming to help dry them out.]
They'll dry out on their own, Shenhe. [ now she feels the creep of embarrassment again. it's weird having anyone do things for her. but she isn't chiding or otherwise upset with what she's doing. it's just!! a weird personal thing!! she has to cope with!!
well now she can't sit down on that couch because there's a comb there. even if it is taking up only 1% of the space. ]
[ nahri isn't about to assign emotional attachment to the woman who struggles with emotional attachment. but something about the phrasing pulls at her. ]
