[ she'll let shenhe go retrieve the flower. she didn't get a very good look at it, but she has a very limited knowledge of flowers anyway, so it's not like she could offer any insightful commentary on it. she briefly dips back into feeling insecure for being lacking in so many areas, but she shakes it before it can really get a hold of her thoughts. she looks for potential grave offerings instead. ]

[all that shenhe knows how to identify is medicinal herbs. she's not going to be picking flowers based on meanings, honestly, just by beauty.

which is why when she comes back to nahri a few minutes later, she takes nahri's hand, and tugs her a little so that she'll face shenhe.

a pause, and then she offers her the flower.]

[ she faces her. her heart skips a beat and she's blushing again. if this were some other internal monologue, she'd give herself a hard time for being so easily won over - because she is, in fact, wholly won over by the gesture. it doesn't have to be grand. it never had to be. she already likes shenhe, but all the little things keep stacking up. what insecurities again?

nahri takes the flower, and shenhe tucks her hair behind her ear with her now free hand.]
