He is nice. He's one of the kindest people I've ever known.

But he is also vague about his future. Today when I spoke to him I said I hoped I'd see him again, and he was so unsubtle about possibly dying when he goes back to his world that even I could hear it. [not that she's necessarily like accusing alex of this, it's just "it'd be pretty nice" sets off the alarm bells in her head.]
